Several years ago, my brother and sister-in-law gifted to me several sessions of Reiki as a birthday present. I was visiting my family and scheduled the three sessions during that time and boy, was I glad I did! It was my first experience with Reiki, and the practitioner was part of a larger chiropractic practice.

I was visiting my family and scheduled the three sessions during that time and boy, was I glad I did! It was my first experience with Reiki, and the practitioner was part of a larger chiropractic practice.

The three sessions really helped with the usual stress and strain which comes with visiting family, back in the town where you grew up. You know, those unfulfilled expectations your Mom had for you, revisiting ole rivalries and issues so often left un-thought of when thousands of miles away (which I am from the place where I grew up).

I enjoy relating to a practitioner of alternative medicine, whether it be Reiki, or acupuncture or chiropractic. I think anyone interested in Reiki needs to at least be open to their own energy, as well as the energy of the practitioner. It’s a nice feeling to be involved in your own healing at least for me it is. And I appreciate the qualities of a healer.

When I left after those sessions, I was much calmer and able to deal with the foibles of my own family trials much better. In fact, I remember that visit as being one of the most enjoyable and problem-free visits in a long time.

Thanks Tim and Gail!
