<p>Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a condition that affects millions of American men. Though it can be embarrassing, ED often isn&#8217;t indicative of a more serious health problem. <p>There are a number of steps men can take to prevent erectile dysfunction. Try the following:</p>
<p>Avoid illegal drugs, including marijuana.</p>
<p>Drink alcohol only in moderation.</p>
<p>Control underlying help conditions that can contribute to ED, such as diabetes and high blood pressure.</p>
<p>If you smoke, stop.</p>
<p>Learn to manage stress and reduce stress in your everyday life.</p>
<p>Get plenty of sleep (at least eight hours each night).</p>
<p>Get regular checkups from your doctor.</p>
<p>In addition, if you suffer from depression or anxiety disorders, talk with your doctor.</p>
