Child-Related, Health

With all of the recalls on Children’s Tylenol, many parents are hesitant to purchase Tylenol even after the latest recall is over. So many parents have decided to choose generic Tylenol to treat their children’s aches, pains and fevers. But is it the best choice?

The Benefits of Generic Medications

If you aren’t a generics medication shopper, you may start now. Recently, many of the Tylenol products for children have been recalled. The issues that surround this recall have to do with suspicion that some medications might have been made with a higher concentration of active ingredients, and some may have been contaminated. There is a good chance that you’ve given your child medication that was affected by these issues, and this can be scary, to say the least.

Thankfully, the recalls are for brand name Tylenol, not the generics. This is because generics aren’t made in the same place that brand name Tylenol is made so they are not affected by the same lack of quality.

You’ll also notice that the generics are less expensive. Everyone should be saving money and buying generic medications can help you do just that.

Lastly and most importantly, generics have the same active ingredients as brand name, which means they work the same exact way. Therefore, generic Tylenol doesn’t have the history of recalls, they are less expensive and are just as good as brand name medication. What other reason do you need not to buy generic?
