If you are an eczema rash sufferer, you know the frustration it causes. It’s itchy and not the most appealing thing to show the world.
If you’ve been battling eczema skin rash for years with no relief from outbreaks, you may want to consider making some changes to your diet.
Drink Water
Helping eczema means having healthy skin and the first step in that is keeping it moisturized from the inside out. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water. When you urinate, it should be a pale yellow or clear color. If not, you are not drinking enough. When you drink enough water, you are helping hydrate your skin, the functioning of your organs and the flush of toxins out of your body.
Eat a Balanced Diet
If you’re into the fad diets of cutting out important foods, you might want to forgo that route and help your skin instead along with losing weight.
The key is to eat plenty of fruit and vegetables. Not only are they low in calories but the antioxidants will help your body and skin.
While you don’t want to cut out dairy, it may help to cut back on it a bit. Hydrogenated oils and fats are known to intensify eczema rashes. It’s also wise to limit your intake of red meats.
Avoid eating starches like pasta and potatoes with large amounts of protein. The combination of these can cause an acid in your digestive system that could bring on an outbreak or make one worse.
With these changes to your diet, you may start to see changes in your overall skin condition. It will take some time for your body to respond but once it does, you’ll start to feel beautiful inside and out.
