Health, Health Insurance

The Robe2419606812_52836a4770rt Wood Johnson Foundation released a poll on Monday about how American feels about the health care overhaul that President Barack Obama has mentioned. The poll revealed that Americans are significantly growing more afraid of its effects on their access to health care and their cost.

While many Americans fear the worst when it comes to their future health insurance, there’s not much they can really do if the time comes to change their health care access. The government understands the concerns but will they really be able to help everyone?

The new overhaul would make all Americans have health insurance. People who have limited income will benefit from lower premiums. Individuals with health problems won’t have to worry about paying an arm and a leg for premiums because the government wants to put mandates on increasing rates for specialized situations. For self-employed people and small businesses may also see some new insurance options that will fit their pocketbooks.

While this all seems like the  best plan for everyone – it will be interesting to see how it will all pan out. There will always be people who won’t be able to afford health care coverage even if premiums are as low as possible. Not only that, what types of restrictions are there going to be with these premiums? There’s no way to tell yet, which is why we all live in fear until we are faced with the reality.
