Alzheimer’s Disease: How Cell Phones Can Decrease Risk and Symptoms

According to the January issue of the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease as reported on the site, EmpowHER, electromagnetic waves from cell phones can help people at risk for Alzheimer’s Disease and decrease sufferer’s symptoms. These results come from scientists’ research on mice and they hope that this is just a stepping stone towards a correlation to adults.

Cell Phone Usage for Health Benefits

While the electromagnetic waves may show some affect on Alzheimer’s Disease, it’s unsure how much it would take to show a health benefit. There’s no word on how long you would have to be on a cell phone to prevent this disease.  If I were to guess, you would probably have to be on your cell phone a lot, which could put you at risk for other health problems.

Health Problems Due to Cell Phone Usage

This new research is promising for Alzheimer’s Disease, however, there has also been research about cancer risk due to cell phone usage. So how do you weigh the benefits and risks? It’s nearly impossible because there aren’t any solid results that people can go by.

What you can go by is that using your cell phone while you are doing other things such as driving, can be detrimental to your health because it can put you in dangerous situations. For the time being, pay attention to when you use your cell phone when you should be paying closer attention to other things and ignore all of the other news of how it helps or hurts you internally.
