Health Insurance

If you don’t have health insurance right now, there are many reasons why you should have it. Not only does it put you at risk for having medical bills that could land you in bankruptcy if a medical emergency were to happen but also it could hurt your chances of getting health insurance later on.

When you apply for health insurance, the company wants to know how you are doing medically. You might need to get a physical and furnish medical records. This helps the health insurance company figure out how much medical risk you are and how much they want you to pay for a policy premium.

You may think, Well, if I end up with a medical problem in the future, I’ll just get health insurance then and pay a higher premium. It doesn’t work that way, health insurance companies can turn you away and will if you have a costly medical problem. This means, you’ll be stuck with all of the medical bills for your illness and no one to turn to for help with them.

The best way to safeguard your financial and medical future is to purchase some form of health insurance now. Even if it’s not very much coverage, at least it’s something, and you can get some help.
